Paris

Oh yeah, we went to Paris, too, although we couldn't afford to do anything. Food, lodging, and everything else are dishearteningly expensive. We ate one meal at a Parisian café--an omelette, a cheese sandwich, a flat beer and a warm soda--and it cost F100 (about $20). Most of the time, we ate grocery store food or at McDonald's, the only restaurant we could afford.

That's not to say that we didn't have a good time in Paris. It's a very beautiful city, and a nice place just to walk. And of course, we visited Père Lachaise, the Louvre, Nôtre Dame, all pretty cheaply.
